evyn + jandro // tucson engagement

Weather in Tucson lately has been a little on the dull side, with full cloud coverage and lots of rain in the past two weeks. Not that I am complaining, it just makes it a little drab for photography on some days. Evyn + Jandro have good luck on their side, because the day we headed out for their engagement session we had some of the best weather of the entire year. Bright sun, light clouds, mid 70 temperature = awesome portraits. We started at the University of Arizona and later headed downtown for a more urban feel. I loved finding new locations and trying something new! They were totally relaxed and just had a blast, which are the two most important ingredients in an awesome photoshoot recipe. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this coming October at The Tucson Country Club. Evyn is a SUPER talented hair stylist, who recently was invited to participate in an international styling event in Paris (holy cow thats so cool!), and Jandro is an aspiring cinematographer, check out his stuff. Thanks again guys for an amazing time!

saundra + michael // mesa, arizona wedding

Saundra + Michael finally tied the knot almost 2 weeks ago in Mesa AZ. Everything about working with them has just been a real pleasure, like old friends hanging out and having a good time. Both of their families are just wonderful and it was my honor to have been able to participate in such a special event for everyone, and I can’t wait for her sister Stevie’s wedding in just a few weeks. Then I get to enjoy all the crazy partying with awesome people all over again! Congratulations again to Saundra + Michael, I wish you both the best!

saundra + michael | BOOTH!

I can’t wait to share some of Saundra + Michaels’ amazing wedding portraits (there are just SOOO many awesome ones), but I thought I would share some of the wild and crazy BOOTH shots we did at their reception. I don’t think I’ve taken so many BOOTH setups EVER, but the crowd all got in to it and they made it a killer success! seniors // brett & spencer

I’ve always thought that I have been lucky to work with such awesome clients. One of my latest senior portrait clients were siblings, Brett graduating from the University of Arizona this coming May, and Spencer graduating from CDO Highschool as well. Brett has been riding horses from a very early age, and Spencer is a star soccer player for Canyon Del Oro High School in northwest Tucson (who just happened to win their 2nd 4A State Championship on Friday!!!) Congrats to both of them on their amazing accomplishments!

Both of them were just a blast to work with to create something individual and unique for both of them. Their ease in front of the camera must be genetic, since both of their parents were in my studio in the past months to create new headshots for Cadden Community Management (whose new website just launched)! Check out all of their manager and staff headshots

Big thanks to their family for allowing me to create such amazing artwork for you all! I can’t wait for the next project!

Tara & Chris | Engagements

2 posts in one day, it doesn’t happen very often, but, Tara & Chris definitely have it going on with their pics. It’s been a long time running since I first met with Tara & Chris, a lot of things have changed with my business and style. I don’t know if she planned it this way, but they sure planned it assuming that I would get better and better at what I do instead of taking their engagements over 1 year ago. They have a TON of amazing pics and it was a struggle for me to pic the very favorites for the blog (I’m sure they will attest to it too)!

We started at a local theater on the northwest side of Tucson. The theater manager was totally awesome and gave us some sweet access to the theater and their amenities, so be sure to head over to Tower Theater and see what makes them different than the other theaters. We then traveled over to an Ace Hardware and just had some good ole’ fun in a new location. We finished off their session with more awesomeness at the University of Arizona. So many great locations, so much fun. The end of the day produced some wicked awesome light. Can’t wait for their wedding come March!
