lisa + chris // westward look wedding

Near Years Eve, a day of celebration and partying for many, and in 2010 it was definitely a celebration.  Lisa + Chris were married at the awesome Westward Look Resort.  Although their engagement was pretty short, the wonderfully talented Anne Bryan definitely made their wedding come together perfectly.  Their wedding day was also the rare occasion that you get to see snow on the mountains.  It didn’t last long, but, it made for some great backdrop during the rooftop ceremony.  Lisa + Chris are both hardworking, devoted and loving individuals and their intimate wedding with friends and family reflected a LOT of hard work on their part.  I felt honored to be part of such a wonderful day!  Congrats to both of you!

michelle + ivan // engaged

I’m finally getting back to blogging some more and wanted to quickly share a few of my favorites from Michelle + Ivan’s engagement portraits.  They are getting married in June in beautiful Seattle, and they are definitely in love.  A few portraits from the warm summer in Tucson, I know all of you with snow are jealous . . . it was in the 70′s this week!

lauren // senior

Another awesome senior session with Lauren. We made good use of the Westin La Paloma resort, then headed down to the 4th Avenue area for some more casual and relaxed portraits. Exploring around that area always yields some fun new locations, it will never get old there…yet. We shot so many awesome photographs during the session that I’m having a hard time picking what’s going on the blog here, too much good stuff…..leave a comment for Lauren!

landon // ABC lifestyle

Two years ago, I was shopping for a christmas gift for my little nephew, I walked into a book store looking for a fun book for him. We found a great little baby book, the kind with the fabric swatches that imitated the fur or skin of all different types of animals. That’s when the idea came to me: a photographic baby book. I had never enjoyed the baby photos that were popular at the time (the fufu sleeping babies, dressing them up in clothes they never wear, doing things babies would never do, all for the sake of a pretty “cute” photo). Naturally, the idea kept on churning in my mind for weeks, but I filed it away as something that I would get back to in the future. I wanted it to be ultra simplistic, a creative medley of colors, activities, emotions and expressions. Great photography combined with great graphic design would be the focus of my next big creation.

workflow dvd // for photographers

Hey photographers!  I’m currently in the thick of things planning and producing a new DVD called “Workflow” (original right?!), which will cover my almost-famous-whatever-you-want-to-call-it 4 hour workflow.  My good friend Tony Hoffer and I are really excited about the amount of content we are including in this awesome DVD.  If you want to sign up for news and announcements, then head on over to the Photographer Workflow website for all that fun stuff.  I promise you’re gonna love it.

PS – If you are going to WPPI this year, I’ll be speaking at the Black River Imaging booth Monday morning at 10am about all these goodies.

Well it’s hard to believe that it has taken me this long to blog.  There are a LOT of really exciting things in the pipeline that I cannot wait to blog.  You’re gonna love it, so if you can be a tad more patient it’l be worth it :)

I had an AWESOME session with Lindsay (and her good friend Amanda) down in the Tubac area.  Lindsay knew exactly what she wanted and we went out and captured exactly that: fun.  They have known each other for a LONG time so she knew they had to have pictures together, having fun.  So, swinging at the park, hanging upside-down from trees, rolling in the leaves, leaf fights and a whole lot more was definitely a recipe for success.  Thanks to both of you for such a great time!
