A dream came true, I finally returned to Brazil! After working with my ABC book family, my father and I (who was the best photo assistant) traveled around South America for another week. Some days were spent sight seeing, and others visiting with friends that I had made while I served a mission in 2003-2005.
We left Rio and went to Iguassu Falls, a small little town that is right along the border with Argentina and Paraguay, and home to one of the most amazing water falls in the entire world. It was truly a sight to behold, and we didn’t even see a small part of it! I think it makes Niagara falls look like a little itty-bitty waterfall.
We then flew to Sao Paulo for a few days, where I lived when I was here last, to visit a lot of friends. It was incredible to go back to one of my favorite spots, the Banespa Building, which has the highest viewpoint, and 2nd tallest building in South America, to see the entire city. It’s enormous. And that is an understatement. This first photo probably only shows 1/10th of what you could see from the top. It just goes on forever, building after building.
We left Brasil and made a quick stop in Lima, Peru before we came back to the country. I LOVE South America and can’t wait to go back!
