I had the awesome opportunity to work with Melissa & Brad for the wedding party this past June. I shot some engagement portraits of them over 1 year ago before they had their wedding plans finalized, but they ended up “eloping” so to speak and decided to throw a killer party for their family and friends. This was the first time I had photographed a wedding at the Hacienda Del Sol resort and boy was I pleasantly surprised how quaint and awesome the location was. Hacienda del Sol provides a very intimate and southwestern atmosphere that I fell in love with really quickly. Suffice to say its one of my new wedding venues to photograph at. Combine that with a couple and family that knows how to party and you have one heck of a party
I wish I could give props to those who assembled all of the details for the wedding, the wedding cake, food and flowers were just superb. Some of the best wedding food I’ve eaten to date! I love how the sun hit the buildings in the late afternoon and there is just so much ambient space on the inside of the courtyard for available light wedding portraits; so relaxed  I get to photograph another wedding here next month and I’m totally stoked for this one. Congrats again Melissa & Brad for an awesome wedding and awesome couple to work with!
Oh ya, almost forgot that they had a TOTALLY rockin’ photo BOOTH! All the stops were pulled out for this one, there were a couple of shots that are just off the wall, don’t know if I can post on the blog though
Check out the vendors here, they all did a fantastic job! Haceinda del Sol
Man, the Red Door Spa was just awesome, have to give them a hands down on coolness
These girls were just hams all day long, not even kidding, but it was cute. One of them even offered me money for every picture I’d take that day.
Got to LOVE this portrait, those windows are hawt
Love the shadows from the posts, the sun and sky were just AMAZING
Classic Tucson photograph, can’t get this shot anywhere else in the world
Love the retro look of this shot, the cake was SOOO good . . . mmmm, red velvet is the way to go
Yes, it’s a real ring on a real cactus, beat that
Their ballroom was pretty sweet, Casa Feliz, more like Casa de Fiesta Loco
Watching the slideshow together, priceless
This party was happenin’! I wish I got the DJs business card, he rocked it the entire night. This was like 3 days after Jackson passed away, so playing Thriller just meant that much more
Commence CRAZINESS: this is their fam
Was it real or fake?
