Kristyn is another sibling I’m blessed to have worked with. Both her and her sister are absolute naturals and couldn’t have a better time with them. Thanks for trusting in me again!
While this isn’t the first set of twins I’ve worked with, just the first identical twins. We had a blast shooting down near Sonoita and it was just an amazingly beautiful day. We would switch off from shot to shot between Danielle + Nicole, and it seemed to progressively get better as we went along. I just LOVE their photos! Thanks Danielle + Nicole!
Meet Hannah + Dutchey. Dutchey is a pretty amazing horse, and we all traveled down to the Sonoita area where he lives to visit. We had some of the most beautiful light that day, and Hannah totally just killed it…thanks Hannah!
PS – It is the most beautiful part of Arizona ever, so if you’ve never been south to Sonoita, you are missing out.
Kyle is another sibling of a past senior I photographed. His sister was one of my very early seniors over 3 years ago! We went out to a very very remote location in Dragoon, AZ…about 20 minutes away from Benson near the base of some REALLY awesome mountains. It was a mecca for southwest-style locations, with an incredibly awesome dirt road that takes you there…dirt roads + a subaru = fun Kyle is also an accomplished volleyball player! The final shot below involved ZERO photoshop Thanks Kyle!
I think Taylor was a little nervous her portraits wouldn’t be amazing, and boy was she wrong Another great outdoor session near the Sabino Canyon area, finished off with some southwest ranch style portraits. The light later in the day really gave some great pastel colors, which accented well with her wardrobe! Thanks Taylor for some being an awesome model!
So it has officially felt like forever since my last blog post. May has been a whirlwind of a month and I’m not even close to getting a break yet! I had a ton more senior portraits, 2 weddings, family portraits in Texas and then a wedding in Seattle. I’m ready for a break, but can’t wait to share all of these amazing portraits.
Another AMAZING senior session with Jenna. Everything about this session simply rocked. I was able to try out two brand new locations, both of which will remain a secret . . . mainly because one of them is a private ranch that we had special permission to use. Let me say it was just AMAZING. The light, locations, senior (and her assistant) were just fab. Thanks Jenna!
Another really awesome session with senior Jayden. Her smile is naturally bright, beaming and beautiful; like Miss America or something (that’s what I thought of when she smiled so much). She’s a natural behind the camera and we had a great time making some really awesome photographs. Some of my newest favorites of all time below! Thanks Jayden!
It’s been a while since I had the chance to work with Samantha for her Senior Portraits; still getting caught up on a number of things since the big studio open house and I’m just now getting back to nurturing my somewhat lonely blog . . . lot of new things coming up and a lot of new stuff to blog! Samantha was super awesome to work with, very natural in front of the camera and has a smile to die for! She’s very laid back and positive about everything and we had a blast working together. We wanted something custom and unique for her portraits. Samantha used to ride horses a lot, plays softball (and other sports as well) and enjoys fashion and wants to look into modeling. We first headed over to the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch for some relaxed and casual portraits, traveled back to Vail at her high school for some totally rad sports portraits, and then cruised on downtown to work the fashion stuff. My assistant Kyle joined us, along with her sister, and we had a totally rockin’ time downtown. I must say, this is one of my favorite sets to date!
If you’re looking to have your senior portraits done, we can’t emphasize enough the importance of hiring a professional! Sure you can go to the mall, working with a large studio where you’ll be photographed by a staff employee, but you cannot pass up the quality and professional care that we provide. You are capturing your final Senior moments; this is art, not just someone that takes pictures, but a trained artist that knows how to bring the best out of you!
I know there has been much anticipation for this post, but I’m just as excited as all of you are! It was a fun day with a couple and family that is very much in love. Thankfully it wasn’t a hot one, although it could have been, but we were all quite lucky with that. It was my first time photographing an actual wedding at Wildhorse and overall I found it a charming and wonderful location. I had photographed part of Rene & Steve’s engagement session at the ranch and came to really enjoy the atmosphere. We also had a rockin BOOTH! in the background during the event, some pretty crazy and wild stuff! You can never have enough BOOTH! at your wedding
Thanks again Rene & Steve for letting me be a part of such a special day for your family!
My goodness, such beautiful rings!
Mmm, smoooooth as butta!
Tyler was a good sport . . . got him to laugh atleast
Katelyn had such a blast getting her gloves on, I loved every minute of it watching her, haha
They had a special meeting with the 2 kids shortly after the ceremony to present some special gifts for both of them, it was very sweet
This one made my eyes pop out of their sockets it hurt so bad
If you could buy a can of awesomeness at Costco, this would be it:
I know, I know, I’ve been very far behind on all my blog postings, but I’m just now getting back to some of my favorite shoots from the past couple of weeks. I was able to work with Rene & Steve back in the beginning of March, so their photos are long due for a blog posting! They are getting married in just over 2 weeks and I’m pretty stoked about it!
We started over at Wildhorse Ranch (where their ceremony and reception will take place) and it is a fun and charming location to work with. Lots of character and beauty all around. Since both Rene & Steve graduated from the UA, we thought it fitting to find some great locations and have some fun over on campus. There are some pretty great locations there, some new favorites in here for sure! I love being able to be creative and abstract with some of my work, yet still keep it full of fun and energy with my clients! Thanks again Rene & Steve!
This was lit with one light, super ninja like
Easily my favorite shot in the last while, I love the abstract geometric shape, so awesome!
I had a super awesome wedding this past Saturday, it was the first time I had been to the Tubac Golf Resort. Totally amazing! Such a beautiful location, lots of amazing scenery and amazing hospitality from the staff. It was very top notch. To top it off I had such an amazing couple to work with, I was honored to be part of their day. In fact I knew Tony and a lot of his friends from high school, old times . . .
It was a hard to take a bad photograph because the weather and lighting could not have been so amazingly awesome. God definitely blessed us with a beautiful earth and Saturday it looked amazing! I’ve got a lot of photos to post so bear with me, I just loved so many of them! Thanks again Andi & Tony, I wish you the very best!
I couldn’t decide the many cool ringshots I took, but these 2 were my favs!
This one has a slight edge on being my favorite ringshot ever.
Gotta love them boots!
I loved this candid shot of the guys walking back to their room before the ceremony started.
How amazing was that sky? It was like this the whole day, couldn’t have asked for anything more!
Wow. This has to be my favorite bouquet shot ever. Love the texture, colors, everything is working for me here!
Even though it was blurry, there is a certain air and enigma to this photograph. Instant classic!
Another amazing sky shot. I took a lot that day, its a photographers dream to get these kinds of skies!
There was some sort of problem with getting the ring on her finger, pretty funny
I love the crop on this, good ole’ 645 format.
Thats not dirt. Those are cowpies. See next image
Holy smokes! Thats hot! Instant fashion model . . .
So they were trying to decide between themselves subconsciously whether or not to be nice, or smash the cake into each others face. Tony got the first shot . . .
. . . but Andi got hers as well
I love the point of view on this one, one of my favorite dancing pictures of late!
