Tatum is very natural in front of the cam…even from the very first minute she was just fun and easy to photograph!  I always enjoy trying new locations as well, and we went to a place in the sabino creek where she would play when she was growing up…it didn’t even look like Tucson! Thanks Tatum!

One thing that I LOVE about Arizona, is that we can shoot almost any day of the year, regardless if it is officially “winter” here.  I had a total blast working with Abbi.  She’s fun to hang out with, easy to talk to, enjoys horses and dance, and has a smile like none other.  I also think she kind of looks like Jennifer Aniston, but maybe that’s just me.  LOTS of photos below, thanks Abbi!

I had been looking forwad to Timothy’s senior portraits because it meant I got to go back to my High School: Sabino.  It has been many many years since I have been there, not much has changed.  It was however a blast from the past, since the fine-arts building is where I hung out a lot (choir nerd, I must admit, but it did get me a scholarship to UA!).  I even got to see one of my favorite teachers as well, who is still teaching the awesome Drama department.  From what I’m told, Timothy is a great actor and comedian, participates in the drama and improv program.  So, we planned a quick portion of his portrait session to be in the school theater room, and I had fun playing with the new array of multi-colored lights :)  He’s a natural if you couldn’t tell . . . thanks again Timothy, was a blast!

I’ve had the pleasure with working with the Ratliff family previously, but I was super excited when they called back to finally get Regan’s senior portraits created.  They had a sour experience working with another photographer that the school had recommended, but I’m glad they finally called back.  She was very natural in front of the camera the first time I worked with the family, and I was stoked to work with her again (I’m sure you can see why).  I was able to work with a couple of cool new locations and just have some fun.  Beautiful day, great locations, awesome and unique wardrobe, fun dogs, AMAZING light = mind-blowing!  Thanks again, look forward to working with this family for many many years to come!

Chris in action! High School Senior Portraits in Tucson Arizona at La Paloma

I had a fun shoot yesterday with Chris as we did something a little different than I usually do.  Chris plays on the volleyball team at his school and we arranged to get some cool action shots on the court at the High School.  It was a blast!  Chris was a little unsure I think of how we could make “cool” volleyball shots, but I think we nailed them here.  It was quite nostalgic as well, as it was the same High School I attended too!  I even saw one of my old history teachers, but I don’t think he remembered me :)   Anyway, I approached this like a Nike / Gatorade ad, all those cool action shots you always see in the magazines.

We finished up the fun action pictures and then headed over to La Paloma for some other more formal / casual type portraits.  We barely missed the rain but I think they worked out just well!  Thansk again Chris!

Also to show off some of the cool posters we can create, here’s a little mokup:

I was also fortunate enough to have been able to work with Chris’ family for a awesome family portrait out on the east side a couple weeks ago.  Their family was one of the easiest to work with, they just fell in place, looked great!  They make it look so easy to do!  Thanks again!
