Kristyn is another sibling I’m blessed to have worked with. Both her and her sister are absolute naturals and couldn’t have a better time with them. Thanks for trusting in me again!
I always enjoy working with siblings, especially twins, and savanna + sedona were no exception. I think they were a little apprehensive about being behind the lens, but that melted away pretty quickly and they fell right into being awesome models. We had a ton of fun exploring some completely new areas of Tucson, thank you Savanna + Sedona!
A few years ago I photographed Mikayla’s sister’s wedding in Phoenix with my good friend Sam Hassas. When Mikayla called about creating her senior portraits, I was flattered that she had remembered me after so many years! She had some great ideas on some pretty cool locations, and I had a blast spending the afternoon in Phoenix, and in Scottsdale at the Arizona Biltmore hotel. New locations are always one of my favorite things for any session, thanks Mikayla!
Gus is a pretty cool dude and incredibly talented guitarist. He just won an international award for Classical Guitar and will be featured on NPR this coming February. He’s got some mad skills! These portraits were a bit dual purpose…senior portraits and future album artwork. Remember me when you’re famous Gus!
Libby is officially my last 2012 senior of the season! Even though graduation has passed, it’s better late than never to get some awesome senior portraits that will never go out of style. Libby brought a lot of personality to her images, and her wardrobe was so fun to work with! Love all the colors!
Yep, two sets of twins on the blog in a row, I think that’s a record JJ + Ashley were super awesome and just couldn’t stop having fun one photo after the other! Tubac was a perfect place for their photos, and also some more just for JJ. Just love the light in these! Thanks JJ + Ashley!
Chloe is very natural in front of the camera, it seemed like she couldn’t take a bad photo! We also did this session in record time and still rocked out some amazing photos! Thank you Chloe!
Hannah is an another hardcore softball player- complete with a recent injury. But you would never guess with such awesome pictures! We had a blast in Benson, AZ where we found some totally awesome abandoned train cars. Thank you, Hannah, for such a great session!
Jordan is an awesome senior who has lived in Saudi Arabia most of her life and now goes to school in New Hampshire. She came all the way to Tucson for her portraits! We had a great time and great weather at Tanque Verde Guest Ranch and then headed down town and ended the day with a classic Arizona sunset! Thanks, Jordan!
Had another rockin’ session with Amanda. Fun, spirited, extremely gorgeous and an all around great session. Hard to take a bad photograph of Amanda!
Adria + Isaac are brother & sister that are both graduating this coming May (not twins either). We planned a customized session for both of them and just had a blast. Although most guys don’t admit it, older brothers love their sisters and their family. Photographing siblings makes for fun jokes, inside jabs and other comments that only a sibling would appreciate (and bear). Thanks to this awesome family, it was SOOO much fun!
I’ve been dying to blog some of Nikki’s senior portraits, and you’ll understand why. We had been rained out on our first meeting and had to postpone the 2nd part of her session till a later date. Nikki is fun, funny, a good friend, a great model, and relatives of some of my previous clients. In my book, that makes her totally awesome Nikki works at a sweet local coffee shop and was the location for the first portion of her session. We then headed downtown and tried out some totally new locations, and totally new ideas for me. I had jotted down some sweet concepts in my head and I think we totally nailed all of them. She could totally be a model. Thanks Nikki!
It’s been a while since I blogged, I know . . . but all for a good reason. I’ve had a LOT of new projects and clients that I’ve been working on and the blog has taken the back-burner. It just means you will be seeing the blog a little more often in the next 2 weeks. This is your “next week I’m going to be less productive at work” warning.
Leah is one of those reasons. Awesome girl that is totally natural in front of the camera. She traveled from Willcox for her Senior Portraits and I made sure not to disappoint. Leah said one of her favorite classes is American Government, so, who knows, maybe we’ll all see her in the political limelight someday. Her mom, her dog and her best friend Stephanie came and tagged along, all the merrier in my opinion. Thanks for such a great session Leah, I LOVED your pics!

I’m back from Vegas and ready for a full week of productive work, and most importantly is get caught up on some much needed blogging! I had a chance to work with Sydney over 2 months ago on an awesome senior portrait session in the downtown area. Her dog, Dazzle, shined in front of the camera as well (lame pun ) I think we were able to create a lot of unique variety with her session and have fun making some photographs that really speak about who she is. Thanks again Sydney!

I love my job because I get to work with such awesome and fun people, and Megan’s sweet sixteen party is near the top of the list of fun and awesome photoshoots! Megan’s mom contacted me not too long before her planned birthday extravaganza and had a fantastic idea in mind: surprise photoshoot for 16 cheerleader friends. It evolved to some standard studio portraits of all the girls having a blast into a full blown surprise fashion session atop a downtown Tucson parking garage at 10pm at night. TOTALLY COOL in my book if you ask me. All the girls got all glam’d up, hit the town on a scavenger hunt in a stretch limo, dinner at north, and to end the night was a freaking awesome photoshoot with my crew. I had a complete blast, and from what I hear on the grapevine, so did everyone else. It’s Megan’s birthday tomorrow, so make sure you wish her a Happy Birthday everyone!

My assistant Travis had the idea for a group shot with the photographer, it wasn’t my idea, I swear
It’s been a while since I had the chance to work with Samantha for her Senior Portraits; still getting caught up on a number of things since the big studio open house and I’m just now getting back to nurturing my somewhat lonely blog . . . lot of new things coming up and a lot of new stuff to blog! Samantha was super awesome to work with, very natural in front of the camera and has a smile to die for! She’s very laid back and positive about everything and we had a blast working together. We wanted something custom and unique for her portraits. Samantha used to ride horses a lot, plays softball (and other sports as well) and enjoys fashion and wants to look into modeling. We first headed over to the Tanque Verde Guest Ranch for some relaxed and casual portraits, traveled back to Vail at her high school for some totally rad sports portraits, and then cruised on downtown to work the fashion stuff. My assistant Kyle joined us, along with her sister, and we had a totally rockin’ time downtown. I must say, this is one of my favorite sets to date!
If you’re looking to have your senior portraits done, we can’t emphasize enough the importance of hiring a professional! Sure you can go to the mall, working with a large studio where you’ll be photographed by a staff employee, but you cannot pass up the quality and professional care that we provide. You are capturing your final Senior moments; this is art, not just someone that takes pictures, but a trained artist that knows how to bring the best out of you!
Usually those 4 words don’t find themselves into the same sentence when describing . . . well, almost anything. I had a great senior portrait session with Derrick over the weekend. He goes to Benson High School and we planned a number of different options and locations. He had requested that we take some formal portraits at his grandparents home (in Tucson), and it was very nice home indeed. We then proceeded over to the St. Phillips Plaza to get some more relaxed and casual portraits, which was a neat location. I had been planning/thinking about doing something there for a couple months now, just never worked out I guess.
Then the really cool stuff started to come out when Derrick was a little more relaxed and comfortable with his surroundings, at his own High School. We traveled to Benson and got some awesome shots with his musical and athletic talents involved. Too bad we didn’t have a football though  Anyway, his guitar shots are some of my favorite of all time!!! It was a blast and I was just having a ball creating such cool portraits for Derrick. He’s a talented individual, so tell him his senior portraits ROCK the next time you run into him!
I don’t know why but this one reminds me of Varsity Blues . . . and I’ve never seen the movie, just the cover, lol!
One of my favs, the lighting in the afternoon was just gorgeous!
Here is a quick composite I had fun creating. Sorta the grunge/punk rock kind of feel to it.
